FirstOntario 3 on 3 Road Hockey Tournament
The Kerr Village 3on3 Road Hockey Tournament took place this year on Saturday May 3rd on Kerr Street. The pucks dropped for the first games at 9:00 AM sharp. All teams played a minimum of 4 games and also received a full Cora's Breakfast, $5 lunch voucher to local participating restaurants, event t-shirt, a 3on3 player's kit, and the chance to win the Kerr Cup!
Teams battled it out in recreational and competitive divisions to get their team name put on the FirstOntario Kerr Cup. Between games, players enjoyed live music by local bands, face painting for kids, adult beverages from the Steam Whistle Tent, and the chance to explore some of the great restaurants and shops that Kerr Village has to offer.
Mayor Rob Burton made an appearance around lunchtime to draw the winning 50/50 ticket and wish all of the players a fun and happy day!
This year, the cost of registration was put towards making a donation to the Navigator Program, under the auspices of the New Oakville Hospital, and the Alzheimer's Society of Hamilton Halton. When you're playing for charity, everyone's a winner!
Overall it was a great day full of fun, friends, family, food, and (most importantly) great road hockey!
